Birthday's and Celebrations

We love celebrating special occasions at Cheeky Monkeys Nursery. If your child’s birthday falls on a nursery day, we will make it a fun and memorable experience for them.

​

Children are welcome to bring in birthday treats or a small cake to share with their friends (within reason). Please ensure that all items are nut-free. We will celebrate by singing “Happy Birthday” and making your child feel special and included within their peer group.

We also celebrate a wide range of festivals, traditions and cultural events throughout the year as part of our curriculum. These celebrations help children to develop an understanding of diversity, respect and the wider world around them.

We value and welcome the opportunity to learn from our families. Parents are encouraged to share their own traditions, celebrations and cultural experiences with us so we can reflect the backgrounds of the children in our care.

As part of this, we also take part in an International Food Day, where we invite parents to bring in traditional foods from their culture. The children have the opportunity to explore, taste and learn about different foods from around the world in a fun and engaging way.

Through these experiences, we aim to create an inclusive environment where all children feel represented, valued and celebrated.
