Parent Partnership

At Cheeky Monkeys Nursery, we believe that strong partnerships with parents and carers are essential to supporting each child’s development, wellbeing and learning. We work closely with families to ensure open communication, consistency of care and a positive nursery experience for every child.

We use the Ovivio online app to keep parents fully informed about their child’s day. Through this platform, we record and share:

• Meals and food intake​

​

• Nappy changes and toileting

​​

• Sleep routines​

​

• Daily observations

​​

• Learning and development progress

​​

This allows parents to stay connected and involved in their child’s nursery experience in real time.

To support a smooth transition into nursery life, we offer two free one-hour settling-in sessions. These sessions help children become familiar with the environment, staff and routines, while giving parents reassurance and confidence.

We actively encourage family involvement through a range of events and activities throughout the year, including:

• Stay and Play sessions where parents can join in with nursery activities​

​

• Mother’s Day and Father’s Day breakfast events

​​

• Sports Day, encouraging family participation and celebration

​​

• Macmillan Coffee Morning, supporting a national charity event while bringing families together for a relaxed social gathering at nursery

​​

• A Christmas party with an entertainer and a special visit from Santa for the whole family to enjoy

​​

• A Graduation Party for our school leavers, held after closing hours to celebrate their achievements with their families

​​

These events provide valuable opportunities for families to engage with the nursery, build relationships with staff and other parents, and celebrate their children’s milestones.
